Women in the Hushé Valley
Sala Rekalde collaborates with the Bilbao Mendi Film Festival, which is scheduled for 12-21 December.
The festival is to feature an exhibition of photos arising from the collaboration of photographer Ibon Azpilikueta with BaltistanFundazioa, an NGO working in international development cooperation that works for the all-round, endogenous, human progress of the people of the communities of the Hushé Valley in Baltistan, a high mountain region of northern Pakistan.
The photos on display reflect the life and wishes for personal and community growth of the women of the valley, through vocational training and empowerment projects organised by the foundation with the patronage of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
