XXXIII Edition of the Touring Exhibition of Visual Arts ERTIBIL BIZKAIA 2015.
The Itinerant Plastic Arts Exhibition ERTIBIL BIZKAIA organized by the Regional Council of Bizkaia, kicks off in Bilbao and will travel through the municipalities of Ortuella, Getxo, Santurtzi, Ermua, Eibar, Zalla, Arrigorriaga, Derio, Igorre and Amorebieta-Etxano.
The awarded artists in the XXXIII edition of ERTIBIL BIZKAIA are: ANDERE ETXEGARAI, CRISTIAN VILLAVICENCIO and AMAIA MOLINET;and the selected, María Andrés Sanz, Ana Aldama Virto, Julen Araluce, Raquel Asensi, Xabier Barrios, Pedro Carnicer Orueta, Marta Faus, María de Viana, Iván Gómez, Amaia Gracia, Maite Leyún, Edurne Martínez Arroyo, Damaris Pan, Rubén Pino Uribe-Etxebarria, Ana Riaño, Sebas Velasco y Diego Vivanco.
Since its first edition in 1983, ERTIBIL has aimed to support and promote the province’s emerging artists who engage in creative work in Bizkaia.In the present edition 109 artists have taken part, all of them under 35 years old. From the contributions presented within all the specialities, 20 works were selected to comprise the exhibition ERTIBIL BIZKAIA 2015 by a jury of professionals formed by: Petra Joos (Director of Museum Activities at the Museo Guggenheim Bilbao), Jaime Cuenca (Art Critic and Lecturer at the University of Deusto), Angel Garraza (Sculptor and Teacher at the Faculty of Fine Arts in the UPV-EHU), Josu Rekalde (Artista and Teacher at the Faculty of Fine Arts in the UPV-EHU) and artist Lide Kaltzada.
The winners of the competition will receive the following awards; €5000 for the first prize, €4000 for the second and €3000 for the third. The remaining artists selected will each be awarded €2000.
