sense and nonsense in innovation

Through the exhibition Sense Nonsense at the Van Abbemuseum, Design Academy Eindhoven explores the inevitable relation between sense and nonsense, the interplay of sanity and insanity in innovation, and the role of the ridiculous and the absurd in liberating society and industry from the conventional wisdom that drives it.
With work by amongst others Atelier NL, Auger & Loizeau, Maarten Baas, Mandy Roos, Wim T. Schippers, Studio Makkink & Bey, Tomm Velthuis, Marcel Wanders and Thomas de Wolf.

Dutch Design Week
The exhibition opens on the first day of the Dutch Design Week (DDW), on Saturday 18 October at 4 pm. Mary-Ann Schreurs (alderman Innovation and design, Culture and Sustainability Eindhoven municipality), Thomas Widdershoven, the creative director of Design Academy Eindhoven and Charles Esche, the director of the Van Abbemuseum, will speak briefly and Wim T. Schippers will present a nonsensical opening activity. After DDW the exhibition is on view until Sunday 9 November.
