Opening: Friday 28 January 2011 at 7 p.m.
After a series of exhibitions in Canada and in the USA, Pascal Grandmaison is given a first opportunity to expose his work in Europe thanks to this solo show at Casino Luxembourg. Videos and photographs by Pascal Grandmaison are centred on images and plunge the viewer into a world of refined forms that are to some extend deprived from any visual references. In the artist’s narrations black and white, visible and invisible, gravity and weightlessness come across, mix up or softly clash. Grandmaison turns his forms drawn from reality into surreal visions. For this first European solo show Pascal Grandmaison presents works realised during the last years as well as a many new productions.
