What does a book become when an artist decides to use it as a medium for expression? More often than not, its main function - in this case, that of being read - becomes diverted. The artists prefer to exploit the visual, material, spatial or playful possibilities, to transform it into a more surprising object. These resulting objects - small or large formats, unique pieces or limited editions, and even real works of art - are normally conserved in a precious collection at the Casino Luxembourg. For the first time, they will be made available to the public during an exhibition at the InfoLab from 16 September to 16 December 2012.
